Nelda F. Cales Brown. Born April 10, 1922 in Sandstone WV to Zebul and Josie Cales died May 5, 2013. An RN, Ned served the US Army Nurse Corps in WWII as a lt stationed at Newton D. Baker Army Hospital where she met and married Bob Brown. Over the next 61 years Ned, Bob and 2 children Roberta and Bob Jr. enjoyed life in PA, NJ, MD, MI, FL and NC. When Bob died in NJ in 2007 Ned moved to Cameron Park, CA to be near her son, Bob (Debbie) and granddaughter Rebecca. Survived by daughter Roberta E Jones (Bob) of Raleigh, NC, son Robert E Brown Jr (Debbie), granddaughters Rebecca Azer Brown and Jennifer Rice (Bill), and grandchildren Hannah and Benjamin. She will be missed by staff and residents at Ponte Palmero Sr Living in Cameron Park, her final residence. Kind, sweet, and just plain wonderful! Ned and Bob's remains will be buried in the National Cemetery in Dixon, CA in June. Donations can be made to Snowline Hospice, Diamond Springs, CA.2
