Sarah Woodford1

F, #68641
Research Note* George Fridley, son of Ludwig/Lewis Fridley, was bound to Philip Koontz/Counce in 1784. In a survey of 12 February 1799 for 445 acres on the east side of Smiths Creek between the creek and the Massanutten Mountain for Asher Waterman and Jonathan Shipman, the land description including borders on the land of Henry Armentrout, Jacob Brayles, Kizer, Philip Koontz, Woodford, George Fridley, and Hoofman. Since the Woodfords were neighbors of Philip Koontz, it is assumed that Sarah's surname (which is smudged and unclear in the original document) is WOODFORD and not WOOLFORD and many sources transcribe.2
