Funeral services for Edward Treadway, 44, war veteran who died at his home here on July 4, were held on Thursday afternoon at the home with Rev. F.E. Perry of Fayetteville officiating. Burial followed in High Lawn Memorial Park at Oak Hill.
Treadway was a native of Fayette county, having been born in the community. He was a member of the Harvey Chapel Church and was a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organized in Fayetteville some four years ago.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hattie E. Treadway, his father Henry Treadway, both of Fayetteville RFD 2, 2 sons [sic: brothers] Levi and Walter at home and 1 daughter [sic: sister] Mrs. Dove Gill of Oak Hill.3,6,1

Two sisters, Alma Shumaker and Ruth Schwartz and three brothers, Melvin Ray, Treadway, Paul Leon Treadway and Bill Burke Treadway preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Arcudia, granddaughter, Lisa Pearsall and husband, Peter and great granddaughter, Brittany Pearsall all of Lakewood, OH

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Skeldon officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
