Jewell--Willie A. Clannin, 100, Jewell, died Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at Jewell County Hospital Long Term Care, Mankato. Mrs. Clanin was born Willie A. Alderson on Jan. 31, 1896, at Randall and was a resident of Jewell since 1960. She was a homemaker and a member of Jewell Christan Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garner in 1982; and two sons, Weldon in 1992 and Mandon in July 1995. Survivors include 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Jewell Christian Church, the Rev. Dan Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Cemetery, east of Jewell. Memorials may be made to Youthville at Newton or Cookson's Hill at Kansas, Okla. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Kleppinger Funeral Home, 409 Broadway, Jewell 66949.
