Ernest "Ernie" Bazzle passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his devoted family: His loving wife of 62 years, Lillian Roncaglione Bazzle, and the joy of his life, his son Larry Edward Bazzle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura Cooper Bazzle and Preston Bazzle; his brother, Hansel Bazzle; and his two sisters, Helen Bazzle Barton and Carma Bazzle Wildsen.
Ernie was born and grew up in Elkins, West Virginia, and was recognized repeatedly for his athletic achievements while attending school there. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Davis & Elkins College and then went on to get his Ph.D. at Ohio State University.
Following the outbreak of World War II, Ernie enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he started serving on a minesweeper, patrolling the Atlantic coast from Hampton Roads to New York. He was later moved to the minesweeper YMS408, where he served as a Boatswain's Mate 2/C. He took part in the invasion of Leyte Gulf and was wounded in action during the invasion of Okinawa. He left the Navy with an Honorable Discharge in 1946 with various medals and ribbons, including Good Conduct. After his discharge, Ernie accepted a job with the VA State Health Department in Richmond and worked with them until his retirement.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. Funeral services and interment were held on Saturday, September 7, at the Nelsen Chapel and Williamsburg Memorial Park, as noted in the Daily Press. TITUSVILLE, Fla. - James Banner Ball, 79, of Titusville, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, in a Florida hospital.

Born April 24, 1925, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Zed and Julie Caldwell Ball. He had been a resident of Titusville since 1969 moving there from Montross, Va. Mr. Ball was employed as a North Area Supervisor of Environmental Health for the Brevard County Florida Health Department and formerly served 17 years with the Virginia State Health Department. He was a graduate of Concord College in Athens where he met his wife of 55 years, Betty Roncaglione Ball. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. Mr. Ball enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

His wife, Betty; one son, James Banner Ball Jr; and one sister, Twila Wilkerson, survive him.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, at the Ball Family Cemetery in Athens with Dr. David Dockery officiating. The Mercer County Veterans Council will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from noon until the service hour Friday.2,3

Mr. Roncaglione was born in Welch, WV. He had been a resident of Martin and St. Lucie Counties for the past twenty-eight years coming from Ft. Myers, FL.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Roncaglione.

Survivors include his son, Howard M. Roncaglione, III, one daughter, Rebecca Roncaglione Hardison both of Port St. Lucie, FL; one sister, Susan Hagar of Long Beach, CA; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Martha Roseberry Crowder

Martha Roseberry Crowder, 84, went home to with the Lord, February 22, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. She was born January 29, 1928 in Elkfork, Kentucky to the late William & Jewel Roseberry.
Martha was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord very deeply. She demonstrated God's love throughout her life.
Martha and her husband moved from Fairborn, Ohio to the Jacksonville, Florida area in 1973, and have been long time residents in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, Florida.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leonard Ray Crowder, her son, Leonard Clayton Crowder, and her grandson, Jacob Crowder.
Martha is survived by 2 daughters, Sondra Pennington and Connie Garnett (Ronald) both of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter-in-law, Sheila Crowder, grandchildren, Keith Helton (Beth), Nicole Reed Crowder, Jennifer Asbury (Thomas), Jackie Clark (George), Kevin Crowder, and 10 great-grandchildren all from the Florida area.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 2 pm at the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, Ohio, with her nephew, Pastor Bill McDaniel officiating.
The family would also like to thank Earl B. Hadlow Center-Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida who provided great comfort for her in her final days.
