He was born in Charleston and was a welder and mechanic. Surviving: wife, Kathleen Ferguson of Florida; sons, Richard G. III of Stanaford and David Paul of Florida; father, Richard G. Sr. of Beckley; brothers, Edward and Frank, both of Charleston; sisters, Mrs. Brenda Koontz of Scott Depot and Mrs. Drema K. Davis of Poca.2
