LANSING - Bonnie Jonquil Songer , 69, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at her residence following a short illness.

Born Oct. 3, 1932, at Bellewood, she was the daughter of the late Bernard E. and Ora J. Carr Kincaid. Mrs. Songer was a retired deputy clerk with the Palm Beach County (Fla.) Clerk's Office. She was a member of the Lansing Baptist Church. Bonnie was a gifted artist and liked to do needlework. She was a wonderful mother and was active in her church.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. and Buddy Kincaid; and two sisters, Betty and Virginia Kincaid.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Garrett N. Songer ; one daughter, Rosetta J. Miller of Gannon, Ga; three sons, Dale E. Mitchell of Lizemore, Ernie Lee Mitchell of Lansing, Steven L. Mitchell of Dillon, Colo; one sister, Barbara Rogers of Fuquay-Varina, N.C; one brother, C. Lloyd Kincaid of Mooresville, N.C; grandchildren, Alicia Wassenberg, Aaron Miller, Kerry Anderson, all of Tampa, Fla., Alena Mitchell of Lizemore, Jason Mitchell and Leeann Mitchell, both of Casper, Wyo., Rachel Mitchell of Dillon, Colo., and Melanie Mitchell of Virginia Beach, Va; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at the High Lawn Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Hayes officiating. Entombment will follow in the High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 22, 2001, at the funeral home. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Donations of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, P.O. Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25801.
