He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mildred E. Grimmett Richmond; a son, Ronald Ray Richmond; three brothers, Ernest and Everette Richmond and Earl Phipps; and a sister, Evelyn Sears.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Jean Basham Richmond; two sons, Charles Richmond and wife, Imogene, of Hix and Noah C. “Roger” Richmond and wife, Mary, of Hix; seven granddaughters, Mary Ann, Doris Jean, Lisa Carol, Mary Lynn, Ann Marie, Patricia and Rhonda Rae; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brittany, Kati, Nichole, Brooke, Hailey, Jospeh Miles and Dakota; a brother, William Richmond of Hinton; and two sisters, Geraldine Buckland and Lorene Adkins, both of Hinton.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, Hinton, with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Knob Baptist Church Cemetery.

Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral parlor.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
