Charles died at the age of two and a-half years". A son Charles was included in the enumeration of the family of Oliver and Margaret Burdette in 1900 at age 25, b. Nov 1874, single. He did not appear in the 1880 census. Oliver and Margaret also noted they had 7 children, 5 of whom were living. Eugene's death in 1890 is known from his gravestone; this enumeration contains 6 children, but one of the 6 must have already died based on their listing for children living, so it is assumed the inclusion of Charles was in error.³
