Born Sept. 2, 1926, at Robson, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles Henry and Hattie Burgess Reese.

Mr. Reese was a coal miner for 38 years, retired from Cannelton Coal in 1981 and was a US Army veteran, having served during World War II.

He was of the Baptist faith, and a lifetime member of the UMWA.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren at his camp in Ansted.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence Reese, Herbert Reese, Darrell Reese, Ronald Reese; and four sisters, Elsie Britt, Cleo Smith, Patricia Scott, and Ada Sexton.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita D. Manley Reese of Oak Hill; two sons and three daughters, Wanda (Ernie) Dickinson of Oak Hill, Gary (Becky) Reese of Oak Hill, Kathie (James) Brown of Dover, Del., Bobby Junior (Kristi) Reese of Oak Hill, and Barbara (Bob) Price of Oak Hill; seven grandchildren, Brigitte Chandler, Willie Dickinson, Terry Freeland, Danette White, Ashley Reese-Johnson, Ryan Price, and Nick Price; and seven great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Rudell Bloomfield officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Graveside services will be conducted by the VFW Post No. 3110 of Oak Hill.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
