538. Charles R.⁵ Treadway (Sarah Ellen⁴ Settle, James Wesley³, Mildred 'Milly'² Sims, James¹) was born in Lick Fork, Fayette Co, WV 6 September 1902.⁽⁹⁰³⁾

He married Leota I. Pennington. Leota was born 7 December 1906.⁽⁹⁰⁴⁾ Leota died March 1964 at 57 years of age.⁽⁹⁰⁵⁾

Charles R. Treadway and Leota I. Pennington had the following children:

661 vi. Howard L. Treadway was born in Lick Fork, Fayette Co, WV 18 November 1927.⁽⁹⁰⁶⁾ Howard died 4 April 2003 in Beckley, Raleigh Co, WV, at 75 years of age.⁽⁹⁰⁷⁾

Howard L. Treadway, 75, of Layland, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at a Beckley area hospital. Born Nov. 18, 1927, at Lick Fork, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Leota I. Pennington Treadway. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Brown Treadway; and a sister, Mathelda Miles. Mr. Treadway was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He served faithfully in the U.S. Army. Survivors include a stepson, Glendon Brown of Layland; three sisters, Martha Smith of Oak Hill, Mary Smith of Pikeville, Ky., and Alice Withrow of Barberton, Ohio; a brother, Charles Wesley Treadway of New Cumberland; and special friends, Joseph Critchley of Layland and Marvin Fitzpatrick of Layland. Service was Monday, April 7 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Doug Mills officiating. Burial followed in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. [The Fayette Tribune, April 10, 2003] His body was interred 7 April 2003 in Beckley, Raleigh Co, WV, Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. He married Viola Brown.

He resided in Layland, Fayette Co, WV 2003.
