59. Milton³ Sims (Sarah², James¹) was born in VA ca 1821.

He married twice. He married Salina L. Steele in Fayette Co, VA, 3 March 1847.⁽²⁸⁴⁾ This may have been a second marriage for Salina. In the 1850 Fayette Co., VA census, there is a child Victoria Steele, age 9, enumerated with Milton and Salina. Either this was a natural child by Salina, or she may have been married previously to a Mr. Steele.

Salina was born in VA ca 1816. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Falls of Kanawha Twp, Fayette Co, WV, 1870.⁽²⁸⁵⁾ He married Mary S. Wood in Fayette Co, WV, 4 February 1876.⁽²⁸⁶⁾ Milton, age 50, widowed, b. Fayette Co, WV, par. n/a; Mary S. Arbaugh, age 48, widowed, b. Fayette Co, WV, par. Elijah Wood & Rachel.

Mary was born in VA ca 1828. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Mtn Cove Dist, Fayette Co, WV, 1880. Mary S. was enumerated in 1880 as "Selena". This was Milton's first wife who died sometime before 1876. Milton may have provided her name by mistake.

A census listed Milton as head of household in Falls of Kanawha Twp, Fayette Co, WV, 1870.⁽²⁸⁷⁾ A census listed Milton as head of household in Mtn Cove Dist, Fayette Co, WV, 1880.⁽²⁸⁸⁾ Milton was enumerated age 55.

Allie was born ca 1856.

He was listed as a resident in the census report in Falls of Kanawha Twp, Fayette Co, WV, 1870.⁽²⁹¹⁾ He was listed as a resident in the census report in Falls Dist, Fayette Co, WV, 1880.⁽²⁹²⁾ James was enumerated age 29, laborer, b. WV, par. b. WV, boarder with Sylvester G. Kincaid.

283 iv. Oscar A. V. Sims was born in Fayette Co, VA ca 1857. He married Amanda J. Niday in Fayette Co, WV, 3 September 1880.⁽²⁹⁴⁾ Oscar V., 23, single, b. Fayette Co, WV, par. Melton and Selina L; Amanda J., 21, single, b. Craig Co, VA, par. Jno and Catherine.

Amanda was born in Craig Co, VA ca 1859.
