340. Emma Jane⁵ Sims (John Dyle⁴, William³, William², James¹)⁽⁷²⁵⁾ was born in WV 2 January 1864.⁽⁷²⁶⁾ Emma died 27 September 1941 at 77 years of age.⁽⁷²⁷⁾ Her body was interred in Gad, Nicholas Co, WV, Simpson Methodist Cemetery.⁽⁷²⁸⁾

She married John Hereford Fitzwater ca 1889.⁽⁷²⁹⁾ John was born in Nicholas Co, VA 16 October 1862.⁽⁷³⁰⁾ John⁽⁷³¹⁾ was the son of John Fitzwater and Elizabeth Wiseman. John died 14 September 1958 in Gad, Nicholas Co, WV, at 95 years of age.⁽⁷³²⁾

The Charleston Gazette September 15, 1958 - Memorial Obituary - Fitzwater, John H. - 95. of Gad, Nicholas County,died Sunday at his home after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Nicholas County. Surviving are a daughter - inlaw, Mrs.Mamie Fitzwater; Who made her home with him; a sister Mrs. Mildred Hicks of Gad; three grandchildren. Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Simpson Methodist Church at Gad. by Rev. Charles Pugh. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at White Mortuary in Summersville.
