The Charleston Gazette, 8 February 1995. Oak Hill - Christine Campbell Beckelheimer, 78, of Oak Hill, died Feb. 7, 1995, at General Division, CAMC, Charleston, after a short illness. She was a graduate of Summersville (N.J.) School of Nursing, Hunter College, New York, and Columbia University. She was a former inspector of hospitals in New York City, former director of the nursing program at West Virginia Institute of Technology, Montgomery, and retired from Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, with more than 50 years' service as a registered professional nurse. She was a member and past president of United Daughters of the Confederacy West Virginia Division of Southern Cross Chapter No. 2001, a member and former secretary of Fayette County Historical Society, co-founder of Fayette Raleigh Genealogical Society, a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and First Brethren Church of Oak Hill. She was author of five published books and numerous other works. Surviving: husband, Robert E. "Bob" Beckelheimer; daughter, Sherri Wood of Arnold, Md.; mother, Macie Boothe Campbell of Oak Hill; brother, George Campbell of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
