Carrie died 24 August 1982 Memphis, Shelby Co, TN, at 85 years of age. Her body was interred 26 August 1982 Caruthersville, Pemiscot Co, MO, Little Prairie Cemetery.

She married Hunter Martin Brower Oxford, Lafayette Co, MS, 14 January 1914. Hunter died 21 December 1960 Caruthersville, Pemiscot Co, MO. His body was interred Caruthersville, Pemiscot Co, MO, Little Prairie Cemetery. Services for Carrie Irene Brower were held Thursday, Aug. 26 at 1:30 p.m. in the Church of God in Caruthersville with Rev. Dan Black officiating. Interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements Mrs. Brower was born in LaFayette County, Miss. on Nov. 10, 1896 and died in the Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Aug. 24 at the age of 85. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Alderson and attended school in LaFayette County, Miss. On Jan. 14, 1914 in Oxford, Miss., she was married to Hunter Martin Brower, who preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1960. One son, Lawson Brower, also preceded her in death Feb. 7, 1971. Mrs. Brower was a former employee of the Brown Shoe Company and later became owner and operator of the Brower Grocery STore in Caruthersville before retiring. Mrs. Brower was a member of the Church of God in Caruthersville. She is survived by two sons, William of Caruthersville and Robert of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Allie Adams of Caruthersville; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
