He married Sarah Estes in Lunenburg Co, VA, 15 January 1801.⁽⁴⁷⁾ Sarah was born 5 December 1768.⁽⁴⁸⁾ Sarah died 5 March 1854 in Maury Co, TN, at 85 years of age.⁽⁴⁹⁾ Her body was interred in Maury Co, TN, Greenwood Cemetery.⁽⁵⁰⁾ Conflicting evidence states that Sarah was born 3 December 1768.⁽⁵¹⁾ Conflicting evidence states that she died in Maury Co, TN, 15 March 1854.⁽⁵²⁾
