He married Leona Littlejohn in Lafayette Co, MS, 10 June 1894. Leona was born in MS CA 1871. Leona⁽¹⁰⁰³⁾ was the daughter of Jack Littlejohn and Ellen Reid. Leona died 1910 Oxford, Lafayette Co, MS, at 39 years of age. Her body was interred Oxford, Lafayette Co, MS, Cambridge Cemetery.

He was listed as a resident in the census report in Lafayette Co, MS, 1870.

John James Alderson and Leona Littlejohn had the following children:

His body was interred Forrest City, St. Francis Co, AR, McDaniel Cemetery. He married Kathryn Orene Smith Forrest City, St. Francis Co, AR, 20 December 1919. Her body was interred in "Missing Place" no. 1393, McDaniel Cemetery.

557 iv. Pearl Alderson⁽¹⁰⁰⁵⁾ was born in Lafayette Co, MS 1900. Pearl died 1907 in Lafayette Co, MS, at 7 years of age.

558 v. Carl Alderson⁽¹⁰⁰⁶⁾ was born in Lafayette Co, MS. Carl died 1931 Caruthersville, Pemiscot Co, MO, at 29 years of age. He married Gladys Farmer Caruthersville, Pemiscot Co, MO.
