He married Martha H. Butler in Lafayette Co, MS, 20 January 1846. Martha was born in SC 10 December 1827.⁽⁴⁴¹⁾ (Additional notes for Martha H. Butler⁽⁴⁴²⁾) Martha died 22 July 1905 in Lafayette Co, MS, at 77 years of age.⁽⁴⁴³⁾ Her body was interred in Riverside, Lafayette Co, MS, Duke Cemetery.
