 She was the daughter of Michael Tingler and Emmeline Rebecca Bradford.

Death*c 1904 Laura died c 1904 at Fire Creek, Fayette Co, WV. According to Roy Fridley, Nettie died at Fire Creek, Fayette Co, WV shortly after he was born. The 1900 census shows that the family was residing in Alleghany Co., VA as of 28 June 1900. In 1910, Nettie's sister Melissa Catherine Tingler Lavender was shown resident at Fire Creek, as well as Rufus Tingler (unidentified). The family may have moved there shortly after 1900. By 1910, sons Walter, Porter, and George were all living in Fayette Co., but many of the others were back in Alleghany Co..
