He married twice. He married Nancy ca 1838. He married Mary Elizabeth Bland in VA, 11 Jan 1847.⁽²³⁾ Mary was born 25 Nov 1819 in VA.⁽²⁴⁾ Mary⁽²⁵⁾ was the daughter of James Bland and Ida Dawson. Mary died 20 Sep 1906 in Summers Co, WV, at 86 years of age.⁽²⁶⁾ Her body was interred in Green Sulphur Springs, Summers Co, WV, Miller Cemetery.
