"The records in the Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio, show few Monnett entries. A power of attorney, 1850, recorded in Volume 61, page 258, shows Thomas Mognett, Sarah Mognett and Jane Mognett, only heirs of Sarah Mognett, who was the daughter of Abraham Dehart, deceased."

She married David Mognett in Monroe Co, VA, 19 Dec 1816.⁽²⁾ David was born circa 1795 in VA. David was the son of Henry Magnett and Sarah Fridley. Occupation: cooper. A census listed David as head of household in Greenbrier Co, VA, 1850.

Sarah Dehart and David Mognett had the following children:
