She married Levan Atha Parkins in Monmouth, Warren Co, IL, 17 December 1847.⁽⁹⁶⁷⁾ Levan was born in Gallia Co, OH 15 February 1824.⁽⁹⁶⁸⁾ Levan died 18 July 1878 in Creston, Union Co, IA, at 54 years of age.⁽⁹⁶⁹⁾ A census listed Levan as head of household in Persifer Twp, Knox Co, IL, 1850.⁽⁹⁷⁰⁾ He was inducted into the military in Civil War, 16 March 1864.⁽⁹⁷¹⁾ Enlisted in the Union Army, Co. E, 83rd Illinois Infantry, served until the end of the Civil War.
