He married Edna Skaggs. Edna was born in New Haven, Fayette Co VA 28 Sep 1833. Edna⁽⁸⁸⁹⁾ was the daughter of James Skaggs and Elizabeth Miller. Edna died 19 Feb 1914 at 80 years of age. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Wilderness Dist, Nicholas Co, WV, 1880.
