Bryant in Botetourt Co, VA, 6 June 1815.⁽⁴²⁹⁾ James was born in VA 5 June 1790.⁽⁴³⁰⁾ James died 14 May 1850 in Fairfield, Wayne Co, IL, at 59 years of age.⁽⁴³¹⁾ His body was interred in nr Geff, Wayne Co, IL, Campbell Cemetery. James was issued a marriage bond 5 June 1815 in Botetourt Co, VA.⁽⁴³²⁾

She bought property in Wayne Co, IL, 3 September 1851.⁽⁴³⁴⁾ Purchased 40 acres at $1.25 per acre in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 Section 19, T1N, R7E, Wayne County.

She was listed as a resident in the census report in Marion Co, IL, 1860. Enumerated with son St. Clair Bryant.

469 iii. Mary Bryant was born ca 1820.⁽⁴⁴³⁾ probably Tennessee? Mary died 10 January 1848 in IL, at 27 years of age.⁽⁴⁴⁴⁾ Died in childbirth. In a letter from Rachel in 1850, she mentions Mary as "your dear sister", but it is possible that she was the wife of John Bryant, for whom no marriage record has been found, although Rachel notes in 1850 that John had 3 children, the number of children surviving when Mary died. She married _____ ca 1838.⁽⁴⁴⁵⁾ Probably married in Tennessee.

470 iv. John L. Bryant. John died after 1858.⁽⁴⁴⁶⁾

471 v. Margaret Bryant was born 4 November 1825.⁽⁴⁴⁷⁾ Probably born in Tennessee. Margaret died before 1855 in Marion Co, IL.⁽⁴⁴⁸⁾ Not enumerated with husband and children in 1855 Marion Co, IL census. She married Lewis B. Sharp ca 1844.⁽⁴⁴⁹⁾

472 vi. Harriett Ann Bryant was born in TN June 1829.⁽⁴⁵⁰⁾ Harriett died before 1875.⁽⁴⁵¹⁾ She married twice. She married Sander (Alexander?) Pool in IL, June 1849.⁽⁴⁵²⁾ She married John L. Sinclair 15 January 1857.⁽⁴⁵³⁾

She was listed as a resident in the census report in Romine Twp, Marion Co, IL, 1870.

He married Mahulda Shelton in Marion Co, IL, 30 October 1844.⁽⁴⁵⁶⁾ He married Melvina Haney 23 March 1858.⁽⁴⁵⁷⁾ He married Sarah Pierson in Wayne Co, IL, 8 May 1881.⁽⁴⁵⁸⁾
