He married Elizabeth Dawson in Botetourt Co, VA, 18 Feb 1796.⁽⁴⁵⁾ According to conflicting evidence, she married Burzilla 'Burr' Alderson in Botetourt Co, VA, 18 Feb 1797.⁽⁴⁶⁾ She resided in Jefferson Co, TN 1830. Assumed from census.

According to conflicting evidence, he married Elizabeth Dawson in Botetourt Co, VA, 18 Feb 1797.⁽⁴⁷⁾ A census listed Burzilla as head of household in Botetourt Co, VA, 1810. A census listed Burzilla as head of household in Jefferson Co, TN, 1830. A census listed Burzilla as head of household in Jefferson Co, TN, 1840. A census listed Burzilla as head of household in Jefferson Co, TN, 1850. Enumerated with surname 'Allison'.

According to Alberta Alderson Fairbanks of Barstow, CA (June 95), Burr sold his land in Botetourt Co. to his brother Thomas. The deed indicated that the neighboring farm belonged to a "Loop" family. Burzilla later lived in Jefferson Co., TN, and was evidently buried there. Alberta noted that all the Aldersons of Jefferson Co. were listed as "Allisons" in the 1850 census. Burr was found living next door to son Isaac, as in the 1840 census.
