20. Rachel³ Alderson (Curtis², John¹) was born in Augusta Co, VA ca 1767.

She married David Cloyd in Botetourt Co, VA, 17 January 1788.⁽⁴⁰⁾ David was born in Botetourt Co, VA 25 March 1766. David⁽⁴¹⁾ was the son of Micheal Cloyd and Elizabeth. David died 1839 Sangamon Co, IL, at 73 years of age.

Rachel Alderson and David Cloyd had the following children:

82 i. Elizabeth⁴ Cloyd.

83 ii. James Cloyd was born in Botetourt Co, VA 15 July 1790.

84 iii. Thomas C. Cloyd was born in Botetourt Co, VA 14 January 1798.

85 iv. Samuel Cloyd was born in VA 20 November 1802.
