344. John Walker⁵ Alderson (Albert Gallatin⁴, John 'River Jack'³, John², John¹) was born in Monroe Co, VA 24 January 1842. John died 23 February 1908 in Alderson, Greenbrier Co, WV, at 66 years of age. His body was interred in Alderson, Greenbrier Co, WV, Old Greenbrier Baptist Church.

He married twice. He married Mary J. before 1889. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Washinton Co, TX, 1870. He married Sadie C. Garstang in IN, 1889. Sadie was born 22 February 1868.⁽¹⁵¹⁵⁾ Sadie died 3 February 1960 at 91 years of age.⁽¹⁵¹⁶⁾ Her body was interred in Alderson, Greenbrier Co, WV, Old Greenbrier Baptist Church.
