685. William A.⁵ Alderson (Benjamin Amos⁴, Abel³, Thomas², John¹) was born in St Charles, St Charles Co, MO 1 October 1856.⁽²⁰³⁸⁾

He married Mabel H. Haines in Cherokee Co, KS, 28 October 1881.⁽²⁰³⁹⁾ Mabel was born in Muncie, IN January 1862.⁽²⁰⁴⁰⁾

[Benjamin and Mary's] son William A. Alderson was born 1 October 1856 at St. Charles, MO. William was educated at West Nottingham Academy in Cecil Co., MD and Lafayette College in eastern PA. He taught schoool and worked on newspapers for a time and then studied law under the Hon. Theodorie F. McDearman of St. Charles. He was admitted to practice 1 October 1878. He began his law practice in Kansas City, MO with Holmes and Dean Law Offices. In 1885, Mr. Alderson was made 1st Counsellor of Kansas City, a post he held for 4 years. In 1895 he moved to St. Louis, MO after spending 14 months in NY. In October 1880 he married Miss Mabel Haines, a native of Muncie, IN, who had moved to KS near Kansas City. William A. Alderson and Mabel H. Haines had the following children:

1613 i. Erville⁶ Alderson was born in MO September 1882.

1614 ii. Ralph H. Alderson was born in MO March 1885.

1615 iii. Walter Allen Alderson was born in MO 24 September 1886.⁽²⁰⁴¹⁾ Walter died 4 February 1958 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co, CA, at 71 years of age.⁽²⁰⁴²⁾

1616 iv. Aileen Alderson was born December 1891.
