7. Benjamin² Alderson (John¹) was born in PA ca 1745. Benjamin died after 1820 in Clark Co, IN.

He married twice. He married Malinda Ann Fletcher estimated 1765. Malinda died ca 1810 in Mercer Co, KY. He married Mrs Leah Lucas in Mercer Co, KY, 13 May 1811. A census listed Leah as head of household in Clark Co, IN, 1830. head of family; Benjamin had evidently died.

He sold property in Russell Co, VA, 1791. A census listed Benjamin as head of household in Mercer Co, KY, 1810. A census listed Benjamin as head of household in Clark Co, IN, 1820.

Benjamin Alderson and Malinda Ann Fletcher had the following children:

+ 36 i. Aaron³ Alderson Sr. was born 2 October 1767.

+ 37 ii. Isaac Alderson.

38 iii. Jane Alderson. She married John Slater 03 July 1794.⁽⁹⁾ John SLATER md Jane ALDERSON, Bondsman David KINKEAD consent Benjamin ALDERSON, father of Jean. [Lon's note: One said JANE one said Jean, someone scratched out the Jane and put Jean!!]

39 iv. Rachel Alderson was born in VA ca 1775.⁽¹⁰⁾ She married Harris Stanley ca 1795.⁽¹¹⁾ Harris was born in NC.

She moved ca 1800 in Campbell Co, TN.⁽¹²⁾ She moved 1818 in Howard Co, MO.⁽¹³⁾ Evidence connecting Rachel to father Benjamin is speculative. Rachel's husband Harris Stanley was living in Russell Co. near Benjamin and Aaaron Alderson prior to their move to Kentucky.

40 v. John Alderson. John was a plaintiff in a court case in Mercer Co, KY, 1814. pg 176 Geo & Jesse ROBERTS of Mercer Co,KY to John ALDERSON plt vs Wm ARMSTEAD Deft pursuant to decree of court 1000a patent on Skaggs Creek in name of ARMSTEAD this being 500A George WRIGHTs 1814 [Mercer Co, KY records, Lonnie Fink, June 1997 email]

He resided July 1825. John was named as heir and executor in his brother Moses' will.

42 vii. Benjamin Alderson Jr. Benjamin died before 1850. He married Elizabeth --?--. A census listed Elizabeth as head of household in Warren Co, KY, 1850. A census listed Elizabeth as head of household in Warren Co, KY, 1860.
