Susannah died before 1837 in IN. He married Martha Bowen in Dearborn Co, IN, 25 June 1837.⁽⁶²¹⁾ Martha was born in MD ca 1814. From "Hopewell Baptist Church Started in 1790" by Shirley Donnelly (1967). Amwell Baptist Church, according to James O. A. Deitz, was organized at a place on Lick Creek, now known as Low Gap. It was organized at Abel Withrow's on April 22, 1824, on a Thursday. Account of the organization of the church, as copied from the minutes of the meeting, states that 'The preceding constitution was entered into by 20 members at Abel Withrow's in the Gap of Lick Creek and the Big Meadows on April 22, 1824".

Warding Hist. Decatur Co., IN, p. 476: Abel Withrow defeated J. M. Watson by 171 for office of county coroner in Decature County election on October 14, 1863. "Party spirit ran high during the civil War and personal encounters on election day were of very frequent occurrence. On October 14, 1863, an election was held for state and county officials, and although the state went Democratic, Decatur returned a majority for the Union ticket."

She married Paul Romaine Stage in Ripley Co, IN, 26 Oct 1848.⁽⁶²⁴⁾ Paul was born in Jennings Co, IN 8 June 1828. Paul died 10 November 1912 at 84 years of age. His body was interred in Sandcreek Cem, Greensburg, Decatur Co, IN. A census listed Paul as head of household in Decatur Co, IN, 1850.

627 ix. Allen L. Withrow was born in IN November 1849. Allen died 3 May 1905 in Decatur Co, IN, at 55 years of age. He married Mary Belle Imlay 15 February 1871. Mary died 1893.

He was listed as a resident in the census report in Washington Twp, Decatur Co, IN, 1860. He was inducted into the military in Civil War, April 1863. Private, Co. E, 13th Regiment, Ohio Cavalry. Wounded 19 Aug 1864, pension.
