Zachariah Woods, Green Sulphur, died Tuesday, 25 January 1910, of pneumonia, age 86 years. He died at the home of his nephew A. J. Lusher of Grassy Meadows. The was buried 26 January 1910 at Green Sulphur after services at the Baptist Church by Rev. Hall. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His wife who was Elizabeth Withrow prior to marriage and is 79 years of age survives. They had no children.
His body was interred 26 January 1910 in Green Sulphur Spgs, Summers Co, WV, Gwinn Cemetery. He was listed as a resident in the census report in Fayette Co, VA, 1850. He was listed as a resident in the census report in Greenbrier Co, WV, 1870. Enumerated in family of John Knox and Mary A. Withrow.

Zachariah Wood is a member of the Lick Creek Baptist Church, into which he was received in 1860 by letter from the Sand Fork Missionary Baptist Church of Gallia co., with which church he united in 1845. His wife, Mrs. Eliza J. Wood, is a member of the Lick Creek Church; joined it in 1859; first joined Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in 1842; both are attendants of its Sabbath School, where she is a teacher. Enoch and Margaret (Johnson) Wood, parents of Zachariah, were both members of the Sand Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Gallia co., and were transferred to the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Fayette co., W.Va., where they held membership until their death. Mrs. Wood is a daughter of Alderson Withrow, who joined the Lick Creek Baptist Church 25 years or more before his death; her mother, whose maiden name was Phebe Skaggs, was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, and transferred by letter to the Lick Creek Church.
